VOLKSWOHL BUND Versicherungen in Dortmund decided to use oAW as a strategic development tool.
They use it to develop multi-tier web applications with J2EE components at the server side based on the Spring Framework.
Hibernate is used for O2R Mapping.
At the presentation tier, they use the Casabac GUI Server.

In a first step oAW was used to generate parts of the presentation tier - especially the control flow. To describe the control flow activity and state diagrams are used. Also parts of the server side infrastructure are generated.

In a second step generation of the data access tier based on Hibernate follows.
