Success Story: Metris GmbH
Metris GmbH uses openArchitectureWare in the context of the SAID-2 product development. SAID-2 is a server-side, component-based, product-driven claims management system for insurance companies, implemented on a J2EE infrastructure.
A large portion of the implementation code of the components can be generated based on a Platform Independent Model, examples include persistent classes, Transfer Objects, interface definitions, as well as configuration files and deployment descriptors. In addition, we generated JUnit and Cactus tests based on our own additional framework.
In another project, Metris supports an IT services firm in the insurance domain in using openArchitectureWare to generate Cobol access layers from UML models.
Metris is very pleased with openArchitectureWare especially because of the flexibility provided by the tool, and thus the wide range of usage scenarios. The seamless integration in various development tool chains and processes, the good tool support, as well as the extensive suite of utilities complete the good impression of the tool.
