Overview: GEF Editor
Generating GEF Editors that in turn model oAW models.
The following illustration shows an example of such an editor. Note the properties and the error view in the bottom. The error view contains the error messages that result from the ordinary Checks.assert...(...) calls in the metamodel. A description of this approach can be found in this (german) article.
How to get it?
Currently it is available in the CVS see CVS Archive page, misc/gefEditorGenerator directory.What it does
- Based on a UML metamodel and some additional specifications, you can generate a GEF editor.
- With this generated editor, you can "draw" models based on the above metamodel.
- The model is interactively verified against the (constraints in the) metamodel. You can directly generate code from a model, or save it to XML.
